Children growing up in urban slum communities face significant barriers to education — poverty, overcrowded living conditions, lack of proper sanitation and healthcare, and limited access to safe learning spaces.
Through the Slum Children Education initiative, NGO Rahi works to remove these barriers and open the door to safe, structured learning for every child, regardless of where they live.
Establishing safe, affordable schools directly within slum communities.
Introducing mobile schools and digital learning initiatives to reach every child.
Dedicated teacher training and mentorship to ensure quality learning.
Life skills and vocational training alongside academics.
Empowering children through education to break cycles of poverty.
To establish safe, affordable schools and mobile and digital learning initiatives that give slum children access to holistic education — including life skills and vocational training — breaking the cycle of poverty through educational empowerment.
Education acts as a beacon of hope in the lives of slum children — equipping them with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and self-esteem to pursue opportunities beyond their current circumstances.
